I'm a crafting maniac this week

Some girly pink & white altered clipboards I've been working on
On the heels of last weekend's National Scrapbook Day crop, I'm quickly getting ready for my first craft show: Whittier Flea Market. Well, I guess going by the name it's not really strictly a craft show but the event planners were looking for a crafty vendor and so I jumped right on in.

I've been putting together some projects from leftover kits (past classes) to sell, but I'll also be selling lots of samples I've made for classes as well as projects I created while I was designing for the now defunct e-magazine Ready, Set, Create. And, of course, I'll have plenty of the scrapbooking and papercrafting supplies I usually carry. If you've never seen my booth, it's similar to what you might find at a scrapbook store, though scaled way down. Mostly I carry the types of things crafters might run out of while they are at a crop (adhesives, stickles, bling, flowers, buttons, etc.) Along with that, I try to throw in some unique and interesting embellishments that you wouldn't find anywhere else.

I'll have lots of greeting cards for sale on Saturday
Getting back to this weekend's event, having never done a show like this I really don't know what to expect. This is also the "maiden voyage" for this particular event so I'm guessing even the organizers don't know exactly what to expect either. I'm just hoping I have enough inventory both in volume and in variety to appeal to shoppers.

If you'll be in Whittier or the surrounding area, why don't you come on down? I'd love to see a familiar face. The Whittier Flea Market takes place this Saturday, May 11 beginning at 9am and goes until 3pm. The address is 14631 Leffingwell Rd., Whittier  90604.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for asking. It was definitely a learning experience. This was a new show(first-time show so traffic was slow as they don't have a following yet). I think they key is finding the right show to do.
